There Is Light...

-he pauses and takes a deep, shaky breath- 

Within all things light... there is darkness.
Within all things dark... there is light.

This statement held true in nearly all cases. I am not sure if you are all aware or not, as I have not spoken much about the incident... but I have recently lost someone who was very close to me. Some of you knew her... some of you may never know her now. 

-he winces as tears roll down his cheeks, but he makes no attempt to wipe them away- 

In her darkest moments, there was always a metaphorical light at the end of the tunnel. Behind her bright smile, was a horrible evil that not one of us could have expected... or hoped to control. In the year she spent with us, we grew fond of her for her brokenness. We loved her flaws... as I have seen others do for me. She gave me hope. Hope that no matter how broken a person is, that there is always light. there is always something to look forward to. There is always someone out there that will love you. 

We fought... -he chuckles through his tears, his ears lowering- ...a lot. She could be so thick-headed at times... so irritating. So irrational. So foolish and naive. -he smiles weakly as more tears come- ...but so lovable. I just wish that she had not left this world before I was given the chance to tell her. I cannot escape the fear that she left never knowing... that I cared for her. I certainly have my regrets.

-he takes another deep, shaky breath as he tries to fight back the tears, but they still come, streaming down his cheeks and dripping from his chin- 

But... from her, I have learned something very valuable... and that is never to hold back. Never to do anything halfway. May she be the one I look to for hope... just as I took inspiration from her in life... let death never separate us from those we love. 

-he breaks down sobbing into his hands, wailing pathetically for some time... minutes pass before he finally, slowly calms down, tiny whimpers escaping him as he sits back up with lowered ears and a deep frown on his face as if it's permanently burned there- 

I believe I have... -he sniffles- rambled... for long enough. I leave you with those words fresh in your minds...

My dearest little Jadey. My niece. My friend. My inspiration. May you find peace in the world beyond our own.
